Manpower is urgently recruiting for one of its clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg:

Business Planning and Allocation Officer (M/W/X)

Overall objective:
You will support the execution of tasks related to the implementation and improvement, when necessary, of the deal allocation process.

Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of a senior member of the team and working with a more junior member, you shall:
• Implement the deal allocation process operationally (i.e. to prepare, organize and over time lead internal deal allocation meetings, prepare draft minutes, check data completeness and quality, check relevant documents, prepare required rationale for allocation decisions, etc).
• Provide guidance for further development & improvement of the deal allocation model (developed in Alteryx and Tableau);
• Assist in the development of tools and dashboards to streamline the deal allocation process execution;
• Assist in the improvement or update of the deal allocation process and model documentation;
• Execute a data quality control exercise on the investment preferences of equity mandates by conducting an analysis to the set of investment criteria prepared by the investment teams and compare with the variables required by the model;

Expected outcome:
• Deal allocation process execution is run and documented accurately and in a timely manner;
• Over time, preparation of other tools and dashboards to facilitate the process execution;
• Preparation or update of the process documentation when necessary;

Requirements:
Qualifications:
• University degree in Business Administration, International Business, European Studies, Economic Studies, Engineering or similar
Professional knowledge required:
• Good knowledge and understanding of financial institution’s, activities and market
• Good understanding of financial institution’s products (with a focus on equity business line);
• Good understanding of EU’s scope, institutions and policy objectives

Technical skills required:
• Fluency in common IT tools (MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint);
• Any familiarity with advanced Excel functionalities or other data analysis tools will be considered an asset (notably SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar).

Experience required:
• Prior experience in data analysis, banking/finance, consulting or in public institutions (e.g. development bank or NPI).
• Prior project management and coordination experience;

Key competencies required:
• Good drafting, analysis and synthesis skills;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Excellent written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be considered an advantage.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, multitask, self-organise and meet strict deadlines, while at the same time delivering high-quality results;
• Ability to discriminate between taking initiative and working autonomously under given objectives vs. seeking for guidance or approval by team hierarchy.
