Credit Risk Officer (M/W/X)
Temporary mission

Job Description: Contribute to safeguarding the high quality of the Bank’s project finance, structured finance, venture debt and/or funds portfolio.

Independently analyse, from a financial and contractual perspective, and rate new project finance, structured, venture debt, or funds operations; review and opine on post signature events and restructuring proposals with a view to assessing and quantifying credit risk.

Key accountabilities
• Independently assess credit risk of complex transactions, prepare credit opinions and recommendations on such proposals and determine associated risk rating and pricing (where applicable).
• Provide second opinions on key post signature events including restructurings.
• Collaborate with project team members in OPS, GLO, PMM, JU, and PJ and provide advice and structuring input to mitigate credit risks.
• Review complex legal documentation from a credit standpoint.
• Ensure the quality and correctness of credit risk related information/data input into various IT systems
• Analyse complex investment proposals and propose solutions.
• Monitor the financial quality of a portfolio of investments.
• Review and sign off on legal documentation from a credit standpoint.
• Deal with credit risk related enquiries from within the Bank and provide solutions.

Typical background
• University degree, preferably in finance or a business related field. Post graduate education in a related subject would be an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in credit risk assessment and/or in equity/quasi-equity investments.
• Ability to analyse financing / restructuring proposals and propose solutions
• Proficiency in reviewing and commenting on legal structures
• Track record in credit risk policy development would be an advantage
• Knowledge of standard computer tools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Excellent knowledge of English and a good knowledge of French*. (Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage).
