Manpower is recruiting for one of its clients in Luxembourg, a European Institution:
A procurement assistant (H/F/X)

Job Description:
The Procurement Assistant will perform Procurement and purchasing activities within a pre-set complex administrative framework thereby helping to ensure that the EIB obtains value for money and acts in compliance with EIB procurement and purchasing rules.

Key Accountabilities:
Under the general guidance of EIB staff member(s), mainly Procurement Officer(s), the Temp will (non-exhaustive listing):
Manage the registration of vendors via the Supplier Portal.
• Manage suppliers in Peoplesoft.Manage and handle the signature of all types of contractual documents where the Head of Division’s co-signature is required, either in wet-ink or by electronic means such as qualified electronic signatures.
• Any other support tasks to Division’s staff (including Purchasing) as needed.
• For support with handling paper documents, a daily on-site presence in the office during the core working hours is required.

Candidate Profile:
Requirements:
• Certified secondary level education, complemented with a 2-year certification in a relevant field (e.g. secretarial studies, business administration)
• At least 3 years’ professional experience in an administrative support role
• Good knowledge and understanding of the Bank ’s activities, organisational structure, processes and procedures
• Good knowledge of the Bank ’s standard office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Intranet)
• In depth knowledge of EIB’s secretarial procedures
• Highly proficient in English and at least a good command of French or German. Knowledge of additional EU languages would be a distinct advantage
