Client Description:

Manpower Luxembourg is seeking a talented and experienced Chief Executive/Deputy Chief Executive – Project Manager for one of our esteemed clients. This is a temporary position with a focus on overseeing and coordinating project activities within the digitalisation programme.

Job Description:

Reporting Line: The successful candidate will report to and work under the supervision of senior members of the CE/FSO/-/P&DC Division.

Purpose: The temporary Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing project activities, including the project management office activities under the digitalisation programme, as well as managing project dependencies, delivery, budget, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution:
  • Establish and monitor key success factors for the project.
  • Monitor and control status, budget, scope, and timeline at both project and portfolio levels.
  • Manage projects and support/coach stakeholders in their project management activities.
  • Track inter-dependencies between different projects, implement agreed priorities, and maximise outcomes under agreed KPIs.
  • Identify and follow up on risks and issues across projects, ensuring remediation when needed.
  • Ensure each project is properly documented in line with applicable methodologies to report progress and status at the portfolio level.
  • Portfolio Management:
  • Centralise, review, and align project portfolio activities with business priorities.
  • Apply detailed monitoring tools and practices to ensure robust project and portfolio management, budgetary control, project status reporting, and project oversight.
  • Collaboration:
  • Facilitate collaboration across project teams by mobilising, coordinating, and “animating” business teams from across the organisation for transversal projects, ensuring efficient communication and understanding of needs.
  • Procurement and Invoicing:
  • Support in the procurement and invoicing process with external providers (e.g., draft terms of reference with requirements, budget follow-up).
    Candidate Profile:

    • MSc/MA Diploma in business administration, engineering, computer science, economics, or a relevant field.
    • At least three (3) years of relevant post-graduation professional experience in portfolio, programme, project management, and delivery, ideally in the financial sector.
    • Good knowledge of project portfolio management, reporting, and quality management.
    • Working knowledge of programme/project management software (e.g., Basecamp, MS Project) is a strong advantage.
    • Project Management certifications (PM2, PMI, PRINCE2) and/or Agile certifications (Lean, SAFe, Scrum) are considered an advantage.
    • Direct knowledge of and involvement in digitalisation and business transformation programmes is considered an advantage.
    • Exposure to and interest in new technologies are an advantage.
    • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Package.
    • Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
