Manpower is looking for an Operational Risk Management Officer for a client specialized in European institutional activities, located in Luxembourg.

This is an interim assignment starting on April 20th, 2026 until September 25th, 2026 (with possible extension up to 1 year).

Your missions

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Operational Risk Management framework (policies, methodologies, procedures and guidelines)
  • Integrate best market practices, regulatory expectations, audit recommendations and business needs into risk frameworks
  • Develop and maintain methodologies for operational risk measurement (scenario analysis, back testing, risk indicators)
  • Monitor and challenge operational risk management practices across the organisation
  • Oversee the identification, analysis and follow-up of operational risk incidents and mitigation actions
  • Maintain and improve the operational risk database within the GRC tool (HOPEX)
  • Support internal teams in the use of risk management tools and contribute to system improvements (including PowerBI and Excel reporting)
  • Prepare high-quality risk reports for senior management and governing bodies
  • Contribute to capital adequacy processes (ICAAP), including risk modelling and calculations
  • Participate in transversal projects related to risk management and support internal communication and awareness
  • Build strong internal relationships to ensure consistency and collaboration across departments

Your profile

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Banking, IT, Mathematics, Statistics or similar
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in operational risk, audit, project management or risk & controls
  • Good understanding of operational risk frameworks, regulations and best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of tools such as HOPEX, SAP BO or PowerBI is considered an asset
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information
  • Fluent in English and/or French with a good command of the other; additional EU languages are an advantage
