We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled System Engineer to join a dynamic IT team. As a system Engineer, you will contribute to the seamless operation of the IT environment.
Your responsibilities
- Perform advanced administration of operating systems and servers, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security;
- Manage Windows server environments spanning from 2008r2 to 2022, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting;
- Expertly handle Active Directory, Group Policies (GPO), DNS/DHCP, IIS, Terminal Server, User Management, and Fileserver Management;
- Conduct thorough analyses of system impacts to proactively address potential issues and implement effective solutions;
- Utilize scripting languages, particularly PowerShell and VBS, to automate tasks and enhance system efficiency;
- Take ownership of Microsoft Exchange, both on-premise and Exchange 365, by analyzing, resolving incidents, and implementing security best practices;
- Administer Citrix platforms, specifically Xenapp and XenDesktop v. 7.x, to ensure seamless application publishing/presentation and desktop virtualization solutions.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience);
- Extensive experience in OS and server administration with a focus on Windows environments (2008r2 to 2022);
- Proficiency in Active Directory management, Group Policies (GPO), DNS/DHCP, IIS, Terminal Server, User Management, and Fileserver Management;
- Strong scripting skills in Windows environments, particularly in PowerShell and VBS;
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange administration, including incident resolution, security best practices, and implementation;
- Familiarity with Citrix platforms, specifically Xenapp and XenDesktop v. 7.x, and application/desktop virtualization solutions;
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and challenges, exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Fluency in French with a very good command of English.
