Operational Risk Analyst (M/F/X)
Manpower is recruiting an Operational Risk Analyst for one of its clients in the banking sector, based in Luxembourg, for a temporary assignment (with a possible extension of up to 1 year in accordance with Luxembourgish law).
Your missions:
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the operational risk management framework (policies, methodologies, procedures, and risk indicators)
- Support the analysis and follow-up of operational incidents and the implementation of mitigating actions
- Maintain and further develop the operational risk event database within the GRC tool (HOPEX), ensuring data accuracy and reliability
- Contribute to data governance activities (data dictionary, documentation, data quality improvements)
- Analyse data structures and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support internal teams in the use of operational risk management tools
- Participate in the continuous improvement of GRC tools (testing, UAT, enhancement proposals)
- Contribute to the production of reports using Excel and Power BI
- Support the ICAAP process, including operational risk capital calculations and model improvements
- Act as a Business Objects expert (design, optimisation, troubleshooting, performance improvements)
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes
Your profile:
- University degree in Economics, Finance, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in operational risk, audit, internal control, or project management
- Strong expertise in SAP Business Objects (development)
- Good understanding of databases, data models, and SQL
- Proficiency in Power BI for reporting
- Basic knowledge of operational risk frameworks and best practices
- Very good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English and/or French with a good command of the other; additional EU languages are an asset
