Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Translator to join our team in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will work on behalf of a public institution, translating IT or legal texts between French and English, and vice versa. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate a variety of documents, including IT and legal texts, from French to English and English to French.
- Ensure translations are accurate, clear, and contextually appropriate.
- Collaborate with consultants and public institution representatives to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality translations.
- Proofread and edit translations to ensure they meet the institution's standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Stay updated with industry terminology and language trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Translation or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience, specifically in IT or legal texts.
- Proficiency in both French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate translations under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with translation software and tools is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
